I might need to sell my car and get something more affordable.
It also looks like student loans will be inevitable.

Student loans are the worst.

I've avoided them for as long as I could. Ugh.

There is always porn or stripping, every stripper I ever met was going to med school. Except the one who was going to be a psychiatrist. She didn't get why I found that ironic.

Apologies if you already know and are doing this. If you're a student, the best thing you can do is get rid of all unnecessary costs. If you don't absolutely need a car (say, moving in/out of school for the academic year or getting to a decent job), get rid of it, and don't buy "something more affordable". Get a bicycle, a cheap apartment (or stay in the dorms, they are a deal), and live economically. If your car's paid for, make sure your insurance is minimized (don't get tickets or get in a wreck), and try to only drive it when you mean it (i.e. no commuting).
The biggest drains are your monthly/periodic bills. Eliminate or minimize them ruthlessly. Get the cheapest cell plan you can (or no phone at all). Cancel cable if you have it. Hell, get rid of the TV and game system if you have them. Try to always be studying, partying with friends, outside, or sleeping, in a pleasing balance.
Learn to shop and cook (well and cheaply, it's easy) if you don't know how already and don't eat out unless it's an emergency (e.g. 45 mins between exams, and it's 6 pm).
Learn how to turn wrenches or fix computers, do it for friends, bill them for beer, booze, gas, or food. I ate for 3 days free replacing an alternator in a Volvo 240 wagon on spring break.
Student loans at a decent and well-priced school in pursuit of a career-enabling degree in a field you love is not a bad deal (good debt: reasonable mortgages and reasonable student loans, bad debt: payday loans, credit cards, used car loans). Get school done as quickly as possible (no 5 year plan unless it comes with a bonus Masters). Look at your dollar/credit cost, and see if summer sessions make sense. You can often graduate earlier, and cheaper, by wisely using the year-round options.
